What We Offer

Stitch Sloth introduces the “StitchBook,” a personalized digital notebook where members can meticulously document every aspect of their needlepoint projects—from canvas designers and fibers used to the specific stitches applied. With uploaded images and detailed annotations, each project can become a story. Members can keep their projects private or share them on the StitchBoard with our vibrant community. This interactive platform fosters inspiration and promotes a supportive exchange of ideas, tips, and encouragement.

Our Story
Founded by Ilene, a devoted needlepoint enthusiast, Stitch Sloth was born from a love for tracking needlepoint projects’ intricate details. Our founder’s enthusiasm for remembering every hue, stitch, and designer, inspired the creation of an exclusive online community. Every thread and needle has its place here, mirroring our spirit animal’s slow and deliberate nature—the sloth. Revered for its calm, methodical movements and Zen-like demeanor, the sloth perfectly embodies the meditative needlepoint process. At Stitch Sloth, we embrace this relaxed approach, encouraging our members to savor each stitch and revel in the joy of creation.
Meet Our Team

Ilene

Stitch Sloth Founder
Meet Ilene, a lifelong learner with a profound passion for needlepoint and an organization expert. Her love affair with needlepoint began with a serendipitous step into a local needlepoint store, where she found her zen. Ever the organizer, Ilene saw an opportunity to blend her needlepoint, social media, and organization skills to serve the needlepoint community. When not busy threading her needle, Ilene enjoys delving into books, embarking on travel adventures, and spending cherished moments with her husband, adult children, and two beloved fur babies.

Julia

Graphic Design
Meet Julia, our talented Graphic Design expert at Stitch Sloth, where her creativity knows no bounds. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and deeply passionate about supporting neurodiverse individuals, Julia brings a unique perspective and empathy to her work. Her artistic flair extends beyond the screen—she’s a master of online digital art, Cricut crafts, resin art, and of course, needlepoint. When she’s not designing or crafting, Julia loves to explore new places, unwind with family and friends, catch up on her favorite TV shows, and spend quality time with her beloved rescue dog, Phoebe.

Benny and Tang

The Barketing Department
Meet Benny and Tang, the dynamic duo leading the Barketing Department at Stitch Sloth with wagging tails and innovative woofs! These snack-loving, sunbeam-chasing canines are experts in maximizing treats and optimizing cuddles. Between high-stakes strategy meetings (aka naps on the lanai), they’re often found distributing free kisses to the CEO or lobbying for longer walks. In their off-duty hours, Benny and Tang enjoy frolicking in the grass, catching frisbees, and, most importantly, cuddling up with Mom and Dad during TV time.
